Pursuing Your Passion.

I have had the most eye opening experience with myself lately. It seriously was like a light bulb went off in my head! I know we hear this phrase all the time and throw it around like it has little meaning, but as cheesy or cliche as it might sound- you literally are capable of ANYTHING you want to do.

A N Y T H I N G .

I'm talking- that crazy, wild, far off fantasy that you've thought- "Well only if I could make a living off of this.." Guess what.... You CAN!! What makes you think you can't? Identify that barrier that is holding you back and then figure out a way to conquer it. That's what life is all about. We have setbacks daily- but as long as you allow yourself to identify that issue, you have all the power you need to overcome it. Seriously. You should be living out your wildest dreams & passions, no matter how crazy they seem to other people. I strongly believe God gives us each our own visions. & it is up to YOU to figure out how to bring that vision to reality. It may not make sense to other people. Heck, the people who are closest to you might not even understand it, but if it is something you are passionate about & God has placed it upon your heart- you have the power & the resources to make it happen.

However- before you are able to reach for anything, you must come to the realization that YOU alone are responsible for your own life. If you make a mistake or something doesn't go the way you planned it would- take the accountability & learn from the situation. Don't place blame on anyone else. You will never grow that way. Sometimes what you learn & who you become in the process, is even more important than the goal you're trying to reach. You create your reality, your circumstances & your boundaries. I think we tend to get caught up in the mindset that "if I had what she had I could do this" or "if I knew who he knew I could get this". We focus so much on other people's "unfair advantages" and compare other people's resources and successes to our own that we feel incapable. You too, have an unfair advantage that someone else wished they had, so figure out what that is, put it to use & master it! Network. Let other people use your strengths & you play off of theirs. Like I've said before, helping other people succeed will always work to your benefit. >>Your light doesn't dim by helping someone else's shine.<<

One more cliche, but all to relevant piece of advice-

D O. N O T. G I V E. U P !!!

Take a second to think about the most successful people that come to your mind. I can almost guarantee you they failed over & over & over & OVER again. But do you want to know what made them succeed? They KEPT trying, working & visualizing regardless of how many times they failed, made a mistake or someone laughed in their face & told them they couldn't. Keep going! It's not going to be easy. As a matter of fact, it's going to be scary, challenging & more difficult than you can possibly imagine. But every setback is an opportunity to learn something you didn't know before. If you don't go after what it is you really want, you'll never have it anyways! So why not take a chance? The longer you put it off & take to go after it- the longer it will take to achieve. You can be comfortable or you can be brave- but unfortunately, you must pick only one. So start now, right where you are. Baby steps my friends. Every step leads somewhere.

I love love love you all,

xo
